Nature Seychelles is a national, non-profit, registered association formed in 1998. It employs a permanent staff of about 20 conservation practitioners and specialists. The organization’s multidisciplinary work includes ecological restoration, biodiversity research and monitoring, ecotourism, and education and awareness. It manages a spectacular and award-winning eco-tourism site, Cousin Island Special Reserve, which receives visitors from Monday to Fridays, mornings only. It has environment and education centres on Mahe and Praslin. It works through local and international partnerships and has implemented substantial projects funded by the World Bank and others. It represents BirdLife International in Seychelles and is a Member of IUCN.
