The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) continues to boost its efforts to market the destination in Italy through various means, with the latest being a consumer event known as Travel Experience-Euroma2.
The event was held at Euroma2, one of the most popular shopping centres in Rome, from April 20-23.
Air Seychelles and the Seychelles Tourism Board have teamed up on a tourism roadshow in Germany this week that will cover promotional stops in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.
The delegation from Seychelles includes Victor von Schweinitz, Sales Executive for Air Seychelles, Edith Hunzinger from STB, representatives from top hotel establishments and resorts including Constance Hotels, Le Duc, Valmer Resorts, Eden Bleu, Hilton Seychelles and Raffles, and tour operator 7° South.
The group will meet major travel agents from Germany to promote the Seychelles tourism offering as well as the two-per-week nonstop air connection between Düsseldorf and Seychelles launched by Air Seychelles on 30 March.
Dubai, UAE, 25 April 2017– Emirates has today renewed its global marketing agreement with the Seychelles by extending the Memorandum of Understanding with the Seychelles Tourism Board.
The MoU was signed on the sideline of the region’s largest travel trade event, Arabian Travel Market (ATM), by Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations for Africa and Sherin Francis, Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board.
The principal secretary for tourism Anne Lafortune represented the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine Maurice Loustau-Lalanne at the 59th meeting of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Commission for Africa (CAF).
During the meeting, which took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from April 18-21, 2017, the Secretary General Dr Taleb Rifai presented to the members a summary of the activities carried out by the organisation for the past year.
The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) took part in the Salon des Comités d'Entreprise’ held in Reunion recently with the aim of promote group leisure travel to Seychelles.
Presidents of over 20 social committees from large to small companies, all seeking the best offer for forthcoming holidays planned for workers within their companies were present at the fair.
With the return of the Qatar Airways flights to Seychelles last December, the airline’s office based in Netherlands in collaboration with the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) recently organised a familiarisation visit to the islands for several of the market’s top tour operators.
The trip was from March 23-26 and presented the tour operators with first-hand experience of the destination as they visited the main islands and got acquainted with the different hotels.
